About Les Fougères
Les Fougères is one of the Ottawa region's most celebrated restaurants — a Canada's 100 Best Restaurants alumnus that peaked at #61 nationally in 2020, and a New York Times-featured "local institution." Opened in 1993 by Charlie Part and Jennifer Warren-Part, the kitchen is now led by Head Chef Simon Beaudry (2025–), continuing a 30+ year tradition of farm-to-table cuisine rooted in West Quebec terroir.
The restaurant occupies a charming building in the Gatineau Hills, just 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa via Highway 5 to Chelsea. The on-site gourmet store extends the experience with house preserves, sauces, and prepared foods.
