About Soif Bar à vin
Soif (French for "thirst") is the Vieux-Hull wine bar of Véronique Rivest — runner-up at the 2013 World's Best Sommelier competition and a two-time winner of Canada's Best Sommelier. Open since 2014, Soif is widely considered the most serious wine destination in the National Capital Region, regularly cited in Canadian dining lists and local critic round-ups.
The space itself is distinctive: cork lines the walls and ceiling, giving the room an urban-chic, slightly otherworldly feel that pairs with the carefully chosen wines and the tightly edited menu of refined small plates.
