Sámi Joik Meets Electronic Sound
Hildá Länsman and Tuomas Norvio bring a meeting of luohti, or Sámi joik, and electronic sound to the Fourth Stage at the National Arts Centre.
Länsman is a singer and joiker from Ohcejohka, in the Finnish part of Sápmi. Norvio is a Finnish sound designer, composer and producer. Together they explore connections between the vocal tradition and contemporary electronic textures, with improvisation shaping their live performance.
