National Day of Tribute – Service Day of Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association – Ottawa Chapter

Ottawa Chapter – Day of Tribute Friday, October 23, 2025 | 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM Tank at Beechwood Cemetery | 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa In-Person Event Each year before the November 11 Remembrance Day ceremonies in Ottawa, the Ottawa Chapter Day of Tribute event takes place to honour and remember Canada’s veterans. Created in 2005 by Sharon Rouette-Urquhart of Green Unlimited, the annual event provides a way for professionals in the landscape and horticulture community to use their expertise to beautify and maintain the grounds of Canada’s National Military Cemetery as a way to give back to those individuals, their families and loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The event has seen great participation from many sector group members in Ottawa, including grounds maintenance, lawn care, designers, garden centres, irrigation, landscape contractors, arborists, horticulturalists, and students. Timeline 7:30 AM – Registration, donuts and muffins, coffee and tea. 8:00 AM – Opening Remarks by Pete Campbell and Trevor Davidson, Beechwood Cemetery. 11:00 AM – Lunch and departure.
