Canada Army Run

Canada Army Run is an Ottawa road race that raises money for Support Our Troops and Soldier On, the official charitable causes of the Canadian Armed Forces. The in-person races are on Sunday, September 20, 2026. A virtual window runs September 4 to 25.

All in-person races start near Ottawa City Hall and finish beside the National War Memorial, where uniformed CAF members congratulate finishers. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Pets are not, except service animals. Start in the last corral if you are walking or using a stroller.

Online registration on Race Roster is open through Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Race kit pick-up

Cartier Square Drill Hall. There is no race-day pick-up.

  • Saturday, September 19, 9:00 am–6:00 pm

Bring your confirmation email, bib number (searchable during race week), and photo ID. Someone else can pick up for you if they have your confirmation email. The official race bag in the kit is the only bag accepted at Sunday bag check (7:00 am–1:00 pm at the Drill Hall).

The Canadian Tire Expo at the Drill Hall is open Friday and Saturday during kit hours. It is closed on Sunday.

Juno 1K (Saturday)

Saturday, September 19, 11:00 am on Queen Elizabeth Drive outside Confederation Park. Free, registration required, 300-person cap. Race Roster lists it as sold out. The course is 500 m out and back. Parents or guardians must stay for the whole run.

Virtual races (September 4–25)

Same individual distances as Sunday, plus a virtual Commander’s Challenge that is 5K + 10K + half marathon. Complete each challenge distance as its own activity. Results go in through ASICS Runkeeper or a manual upload on Race Roster.

Current Race Roster totals (including mandatory charges) are $74.30 for the in-person 5K, $96.72 for the 10K, $135.97 for the half marathon or the in-person Sergeant Major’s Challenge, and $164.01 for the in-person Commander’s Challenge. Virtual individual distances are $56.78.
