Words on the Water

Words on the Water

Part of Ottawa Riverkeeper's Current Conversations speaker series, Words on the Water brings together 10 local poets, including Ottawa's poet laureates, to read work inspired by the Ottawa River and what it means to them. Readings run in both English and French, celebrating the river through art, storytelling, and personal reflection.

The evening doubles as a fundraiser supporting Ottawa Riverkeeper's work to protect the watershed.

Poets

Ottawa Poet Laureates David O'Meara and Véronique Sylvain, joined by Christine McNair, Stephanie Roberts, Mahaila Smith, Harold Hoefle, Jean Marc Dalpé, Alexis Rodrigue Lafleur, David Galvaude, and Sarah Migneron.
