Part of Ottawa Riverkeeper's Current Conversations summer speaker series, The Swimmable City brings together local experts for a panel on urban waterways. They'll share examples from around the world, and from our own backyard, of how swimming in urban rivers and lakes can foster healthier, more climate-resilient, and more equitable communities.
The series doubles as an educational evening and a fundraiser supporting Ottawa Riverkeeper's work to protect the Ottawa River watershed.
- When: Wednesday, June 24, 2026, 6:00–8:00 pm
- Where: NCC River House, 501 Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway
- Tickets: $20 regular; $15 for seniors (65+), youth (15–30), and those on low income; free for children under 15. Get tickets on Eventbrite.
