Shinka is one of those places you'd never find by accident. Tucked away on Sheffield Road in an industrial-looking area, it's the opposite of flashy. But the sushi is some of the best in Ottawa. The fish is premium quality, sourced carefully, and prepared with precision. The dining room is small and intimate.

What to Order

  • Omakase-Style — Ask the chef what's best today. That's the move here.
  • Sashimi — The fish quality shines brightest when it's unadorned.
  • Specialty Rolls — Well-crafted and balanced.
