About Pipolinka Bakery
Pipolinka started in 2005 and has been baking sourdough in Wakefield ever since — run by husband-and-wife Philippe Bernard ("Pipo") and Kalina Ostrowska ("Linka"). Philippe took inspiration from a trip to Poland the year before launching the bakery, and the lineup spans roughly 150 original recipes — breads, pastries, and savoury items. Ingredients are heavily local: about 80% of flour from Quebec, with dairy, eggs, and honey sourced within 100 km. The village's most respected artisan bakery and a natural pre-hike or post-bridge-walk stop on Chemin Riverside.
