About
The Kailash Mital Theatre is Carleton University's fully equipped 444-seat performance theatre on the main campus, adjacent to Southam Hall. Professionally outfitted, managed, and staffed — it operates both as a community-booking room and as a classroom for Carleton's theatre and music programs.
The theatre is named for Kailash Mital and his wife Nandi, long-time philanthropists to Carleton University who established a number of scholarships for small business and entrepreneurship.
