Annabelle López Ochoa’s sensual Reversible is a battle of the sexes that plays with gender fluidity; dancers strut and tease, positioning strength and vulnerability in equal measure. Drawing on distinctly Cuban movements, Ochoa creates joyous, fearless physicality that will leave you wanting more.

Cuban choreographer George Céspedes is acclaimed for creating modern, spatial deconstructions of the traditional dances of his homeland. Movements alternate between precise and frenetic, giving his work an intense dynamic. In Katharsis Morphé, he takes a poetic approach to tackling themes of national identity and its constant transformation, using dance as a conceptual pillar to liberate emotion, and the body as a vehicle of truth. Virtuosity at its best.

The company’s flagship work Mambo 3XXI by George Céspedes will close the evening, bursting with contagious energy. With mile-high extensions, twists, turns, jumps and moves reminiscent of capoeira and lindy hop, Mambo 3XXI is a bona fide crowd-pleaser that garners rave reviews wherever it tours.
