In a mining town, a few lumps of coal in the stove meant more than heat. It meant the tea was on, the boots were off, and the house was alive with chatter, laughter, and maybe even a song or two.
December Coal is a tribute to that kind of warmth. To the work that made it possible. To the families who shared life around it. And to the glow that still brings people together when the nights grow cold.
A December Coal performance features selections from the 2025 Christmas album, December Coal, along with favourites from the 2017 Christmas in the Mine collection.
The jolly miners, along with special guest singer-songwriter Jenn Sheppard, are ready to deliver two heartwarming hours of song and story, new renditions of old favourites, original pieces never heard before, and maybe even a bit of foot-stomping cheer!
