This solemn gathering pays tribute to those who served with distinction and to the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The service offers an important opportunity for the RCMP community, peace officers, families, and the public to stand together, honour the memory of fallen officers, and reaffirm our collective commitment to preserving their legacy of service and courage. This is a public event, and all are encouraged to attend as we reflect on the profound impact these men and women have had on our communities and our country.

Established in 1873, Beechwood is the National Cemetery of Canada in Ottawa. Its grounds include Commonwealth war graves, the National Military Cemetery, and memorial cemeteries for the RCMP, Ottawa Police Service and CSIS. It also offers funeral, cremation and burial services, public visits and free guided tours.
