An inflated structure overtakes the space, reaching up towards the sun. Plasticscapes by Studio Rat fills St. Albans Church with an altar of hope you can walk inside, built from plastics the artists foraged rather than sent through industrial recycling.
The work sits with the contradictions held in plastic: ancient and futuristic, mundane and magical, intimate and industrial, malleable and fixed.
