This newly-formed group who get together to play improvised chamber music, with a kind of modal-groove-oriented vibe, are sure to delight.
Collected Strands is an improvising chamber music ensemble composed of four fantastic musicians expressing sounds ranging from contemporary modal grooves to classical, folk, experimental, and ambient music. Raphael Weinroth-Browne is a brilliant, internationally renowned cellist and composer who combines his classical training with a passion for progressive metal and Middle Eastern music, and who has developed a unique artistic and expressive voice. Mike Essoudry is a phenomenal drummer and composer who plays with a wide variety of excellent bands including the Atlantis Jazz Ensemble and the Megan Jerome Together Ensemble.
