Chigiri-e Landscapes - Torn Paper Art

Chigiri-e Landscapes - Torn Paper Art

Bring an idea or a simple image you'd like to recreate and try your hand at the Japanese paper collage technique known as chigiri-e (torn paper art). Chigiri-e is a traditional Japanese art form where coloured paper is torn to form images, often resembling watercolor paintings. Create a landscape using torn pieces of magazine paper, while experimenting with key elements of art such as color, shape, and texture. Artwork will measure 5.5"x4.5" in size and all materials will be provided.
