9th Korean Cinema Celebration in Canada: Ottawa Screenings

The Korean Cultural Centre Canada presents the 9th Korean Cinema Celebration in Canada from April 17 to 27, 2026. For Ottawa audiences, the festival's in-person screenings take place at ByTowne Cinema on April 24, 25, and 27, 2026.

The festival follows the theme "Laugh, Thrill, Imagine" and features five Korean films:

  • The King of Kings
  • Love Reset
  • Extreme Job
  • Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy
  • Hi-Five

Ottawa Screenings

  • In-person location: ByTowne Cinema, 325 Rideau Street, Ottawa, ON K1N 5Y4
  • Ottawa screening dates: April 24, 25, and 27, 2026
  • Admission: Free
  • Tickets: RSVP required through kccincanada.com

Online Screenings

The festival is also available in a hybrid format, with online screenings on MovieBloc from April 17 to 27, 2026. That means even if you miss the Ottawa in-person screenings, you may still be able to watch part of the festival online.

Festival Overview

The 2026 edition expands and rebrands the Ottawa Korean Film Festival into the broader Korean Cinema Celebration in Canada, with screenings in Toronto, Ottawa, and online. The lineup highlights Korean humour, suspense, imagination, and cultural storytelling.
