About the Event

ArohaFest Diwali Dhamaka is Canada's only fully bilingual festival celebrating the arts and culture of India while shining a spotlight on Diwali. Experience the beauty and grace of classical Indian dance forms in an immersive outdoor setting at Peter A. Herrndorf Place.

Classical Indian Dance Forms:

  • Bharatanatyam - A major form of Indian classical dance that originated in Tamil Nadu
  • Mohiniyattam - A classical dance form from Kerala known for its graceful, swaying movements

The performances showcase "Dance from Coast to Coast," highlighting the diverse dance traditions found across India.

Event Details

Location: Peter A. Herrndorf Place is the National Arts Centre's outdoor public plaza, creating an accessible and welcoming space for free cultural programming.
